Vern Wallery became the Classified Employees’ Appointee in 2001 and currently serves as Chairperson. She has worked as a labor representative for the Classified School Employees Association and is currently a classified employee with the Hacienda-La Puente Unified School District. In December of 2008, she became President of the Personnel Commissioners Association of Southern California.
Lori Workman became the Joint Appointee to the Commission on December 1, of 2009 and currently serves as Vice-Chairperson. She has worked in both private and public school districts and is currently working at Bishop Amat High School.
Fred Lujan was appointed as the Board Appointee to the Commission on January 14, 2009. He is a lifelong resident of the Bassett community who has been actively involved in swap meets, booster clubs, and coaching sports.

The Bassett USD Personnel
Commission has two staff assigned on a full-time basis to carry out the
functions and work of the Commission. Brandon Tietze joined Bassett USD as a Personnel Analyst in January, 2008 and is currently serving as the Personnel Director (Provisional). He has previously served as an Associate Personnel Analyst at Torrance Unified School District and as a Personnel Intern at Hacienda/La Puente Unified. Brandon is working towards the completion of his Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at California State University, Long Beach. |

Carol Mendias is currently the Human Resources Technician. She has been a classified employee of Bassett Unified School District since 1976 and a member of the Commission staff since 1997. |
